Step by Step: Getting a Taxi at Pearson
Leave the Arrivals Hall
After baggage claim, head for the Arrivals level exits. Ignore anyone offering rides inside the terminal – airport taxis wait at the curb, not inside the building.

At Terminal 1 the taxi stand is at Door D; at Terminal 3, follow the Taxi signs on the Arrivals level. Airport taxis carry a GTAA plate and window decal.
Know the Flat Rate
Pearson taxis charge a flat rate for your destination zone, taxes included. A $15 surcharge can apply for four or more checked bags, an oversize item or five or more passengers – the driver must tell you before loading.
Pre-Arranged Pickup
A pre-arranged pickup by a City of Toronto taxi meets you at Door A, where the pre-arranged services desk is. These rides need a GTAA trip permit and follow GTAA prices.
